UK Ambassador welcomed the largest British investment in Lithuania in Dūkštas

"Already being independent from Russian energy sources, Lithuania is taking steps towards becoming a supplier of renewable electricity to Europe," said the British Ambassador to Lithuania, Brian Olley, at a meeting with the town's communities in Dūkštas on Wednesday 3rd August.

Lithuanian grid capacity secured

We recently secured capacity from the Lithuanian grid operator to develop a 375MWp solar farm in Ignalina, Lithuania. The project will make a significant contribution to Lithuania's strategic energy goals providing enough electricity to power nearly 200,000 homes and save around 175,000 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere every year. We aim to become one of the largest investors in solar PV farms in Lithuania and are proud to help support the country's independence from Russian energy supplies.
