Aura Power has divested its 26 MWp solar farm project Killarney Lake, located in Alberta to the indigenous community, Montana First Nation.
We entered a Joint Venture partnership with the First Nations community in early 2022 and began development on the project in 2017, securing Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) Facility Approval in 2021.
The renewable energy facility includes 26 MWp of solar capacity with a 100 MW battery energy storage system located on privately owned land.
Full ownership of the project now lies with Montana First Nation. Details of our transaction with Montana First Nation can be found on this page.
